Evaluation of the value that Public Access Roads (PAR)’s provides users

There are 24 PAR’s throughout the state used by pastoralists, miners, tourism and recreational drivers.

The Problem

These roads require significant support and maintenance that is managed by the Pastoral Board.

The Solution

Interviewing and surveying 70 stakeholders over two weeks including Pastoralists, Miners, Department of Transport, Regional Development Australia, National Parks and Wildlife, Outback Communities Authority, Tourism SA and 4WD Clubs. This provided the quantitative and qualitative evidence to define the issues and opportunities and value attribution of each PAR.

The Benefits
