Rail Infrastructure Manager accreditation and Safety and Management Systems (SMS)

Established an intermodal and rail terminal at Bordertown for multiple products and principally for the companies containerised export softwoods.

The Problem

The company required accreditation as a Rail Infrastructure Manager (RIM) in order to be recognised by the Office National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR) to manage the rail safety and siding infrastructure.

The Solution

Drafted and developed with client the Safety Management System (SMS) including policies, procedures and standards to support the risk based approach required by ONRSR and worked with client to establish an online SMS.

The Benefits

Established the SMS and documentation to enable the exporter to have a sound safety management systems and control the rail and the intermodal terminal safety and rail compliance.
