Due Dilligance On Food Group Aquisitions

We were engaged by a US food group to assist with the due diligence of the the warehousing and freight arrangements for an Australian Consumer Goods Food Group

The Problem

Assess the safety, compliance and cost and reliability baseline of a major national cereal and snack group and determined the opportunities for improvements of the group that had a number of manufacturing plants and multiple distribution facilities and rail and road freight arrangements.

The Solution

Significant opportunities for range, facility and supplier consolidation supported by fewer freight providers and working with retail on inbound and outbound route consolidation and the rolling out of uniform inventory planning and production scheduling and warehouse management systems.

The Benefits

The US Food group were unsuccessful in securing the food group but the learnings were useful for their own global operations.
